Toronto mayor caught in TV hoax, uses foul words in 911 call

TORONTO

Earlier this week, CBC comedienne Mary Walsh confronted Mayor Rob Ford, as she has done with prime ministers and federal officials in the past.

However, Ford said he didn't recognize her and called 911 thinking he was being attacked. Ford admits he used some unsavory language.

"So I was frustrated, and if I offended someone, I apologize. Maybe I shouldn't have used the F-word. I apologize," said Ford.

The operators said Ford called them the B-word. They were so offended they called the police association to complain.

Also, because he's the mayor, it appears his emergency call was bumped above other real emergencies.
