A police officer saw Tien Kim Vu, 27, put a package in a car and drive off.
The officer said Vu was driving a stolen car, and when he was pulled over, the officer found several packages inside.
In all, police said they found 150 stolen items in Vu's car and house. The packages were deliveries from UPS, FedEx and the U.S. Post Service.
Detectives were sorting through those packages in order to get them back to their owners.
The Irvine Police Department warned residents to be take extra caution with package deliveries as the holiday season approaches.
