OTRC: Lindsay Lohan shows off brighter smile

Lindsay Lohan arrives at the Los Angeles Superior Court West District Airport Courthouse Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2011, in Los Angeles. A judge ruled that she had violated her probation in a theft case by being ousted from a community service assignment at a women's shelter. A hearing has been scheduled for Nov. 2, 2011, during which the actress could be handed down a jail sentence. (Damian Dovarganes)

Lindsay Lohan flashed a brighter smile on her Twitter page Saturday, October 29 after weeks of speculation about her previously flawed smile.

The actress posted a photo on the social networking site with a link to a new photo showing off her smile saying, "Thanks Dr. Dorfman for the zoom... My gums are so sore though!"

The actress referred to the Zoom! teeth whitening procedure that involves a gel application and a special light that is shined onto the teeth for 45 minutes. The gel is applied in three fifteen minute sessions for a total of 45 minutes, according to the Zoom! Now website. The procedure has been shown on "Extreme Makeover."

The actress, who is rumored to be posing for Playboy, made headlines in early October when she was photographed on the red carpet in Los Angeles with teeth that looked yellow and stained.

"I think of all the things going on in the world today -- from deteriorating public education to rampant homelessness to political unrest -- there is no way I'm going to comment on Lindsay's teeth," her spokesperson told ABC News on Monday, October 17.

"I get a lot of calls asking me to confirm absurd things about Lindsay," the spokesperson added. "But this thing with the teeth has to be the most absurd."

In the photos above Lohan can be seen in her Twitter photo posted on October 29, on the left and at the Amfar charity event, part of the Fashion Week in Milan, Italy, Friday, September 23 on the right.

Lohan recently began her court-mandated community service at a Los Angeles morgue on Friday, October 21, a day after she was turned away for arriving late.

Lohan was earlier this year ordered to complete 480 hours of community service, including 120 at the morgue, as part of a sentence handed down for a misdemeanor theft charge, which had in itself constituted a violation of her probation for a 2007 drunk driving and cocaine possession case. The actress has served time in jail and this year, spent 35 days under house arrest.
