The winner of the costume contest, 3-year-old papillon Pomeranian named Sampson, took home a year's worth of dog food. Sampson was dressed as a reindeer.
The event also featured a pet adoption fair, bulldog kissing booth and "bobbing for howl-oweenies."
The annual parade raised money for spay-and-neuter programs, adoption groups and beach cleanups. They attempted to set a world record for the most costumed dogs in a parade, but it was unclear if the record was broken on Sunday.
Event organizer Justin Rudd said more than 500 dogs were registered.
