Soccer team's season ends over 'taunting' dance

BALTIMORE

The dance is called "The Bernie," and after members of the Perry Hall varsity soccer team in Baltimore performed the dance at a game, some parents found it offensive and complained to the principal.

As a result, the principal canceled the rest of the soccer season, saying the dance had become more of a way to taunt the opposing team.

"It was heartbreaking. We all just put our heads down and just cried. It was terrible to go out like that," said soccer player Ethan Muller.

The players say they did the dance another time and were not penalized. Some of their parents are reportedly going to meet with the principal to ask him to reverse the decision.
