Kelly Osbourne is recovering from a concussion she received while dancing at a club over the weekend in Miami, her mother confirmed.
"Long story short I cracked my head open then kept passing out I have the all clear my mum came 2 get me 4 full story watch the talk tomorrow," Osbourne Tweeted on Sunday.
Sharon Osbourne flew in from New York to care for her daughter and talked about Kelly's injuring on her daytime talk show "The Talk" on Monday.
"She was dancing with sombody who said 'Teach me how to ballroom dance,' and so she did and the guy takes down her to dip, and as her dips her down, she hits her head on an amplifier," Sharon Osbourne said on The Talk. "So it split her head open."
Sharon said that Kelly had returned to her hotel following the injury, but went to the hospital after fainting twice. After receiving stitches and being diagnosed with a concussion, she returned home where she had to stay awake for two days.
"I just want 2 thank all the incredible doctors and nurses @ Mercy hospital in Miami 4 taking such good care of me u guys really are amazing!" Kelly Tweeted on November 6.
Kelly was a contestant on season nine of "Dancing With The Stars." The reality star was partnered with Louis Amstel and took third place. She also credited the dancing competition series with her impressive weight-loss.
The 27-year-old singer, actress and co-host has in recent years evolved from a foul-mouthed teenager on her rocker father Ozzy's reality show "The Osbournes" into a fashion icon. She is one of the panelists on the E! series "Fashion Police," critiquing celebrities' fashion choices.
Osbourne was also the face of the Spring 2011 collection of Madonna and Lourdes Leon's Material Girl line, replacing "Gossip Girl" actress Taylor Momsen.
