Taylor Lautner says "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1" is "more mature" than the previous three movies in the vampire romance series.
"The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1" depicts the wedding of Bella Swan, a human played by Kristen Stewart, and Edward Cullen, portrayed by Robert Pattinson, and the consequences of their union. Lautner, 19, plays werewolf Jacob Black, who is in love with Swan. The movie is the first part of the fourth installment of the series, which is based on the novels by Stephenie Meyer.
"This one's different than the other ones - it's more mature," Lautner told OnTheRedCarpet.com. "You see all the characters grow up in this one, quite a bit."
The previous three movies, the first of which was released in 2008, have grossed more than 1.8 billion worldwide.
Lautner added that all characters in "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1" are portrayed "in a completely different light." In the film, Swan becomes pregnant with Cullen's baby, which puts her health at risk. Meanwhile, Black must also deal with a new reality, Lautner said.
"He grows up in this one," he said. "He's torn between his family, the wolf pack, and the Cullens, his new family and he has to make a choice."
The second part of "Breaking Dawn" is due to be released on Nov. 16, 2012. Lautner told OnTheRedCarpet.com in July that that he got emotional when filming his final "Twilight" scene, adding: "I just break down and lose it al."
The movie is set for release on November 18 and also stars other returning cast members such as Taylor Lautner, whose werewolf character, Jacob Black, remains jealous of the tragic couple, and Ashley Greene, Nikki Reed, Kellan Lutz and Jackson Rathbone, who play Cullen's adopted siblings. Their parents are portrayed by Peter Facinelli and Elizabeth Reaser.
Rathbone told OnTheRedCarpet.com recently that Stewart rendered him and their other co-stars breathless as she walked down the aisle in Bella Swan's dress while filming the wedding of Swan and Cullen.
The actor also referenced another anticipated part of the movie, saying: "Yes, in the honeymoon scene, we get to finally see what we've all been waiting for - some boot-knockin."
