Authorities said David Elifar Verduzco first befriended the girl's family at church. Verduzco then cultivated a relationship with the family before allegedly molesting the victim.
Verduzco was being held at the Orange County Jail without bail on multiple felony charges related to the sexual abuse of a child.
Tustin police believe there may be other victims and are asking for the public's help in identifying them.
Officials urged parents who have entrusted Verduzco with their kids to investigate if their kids may have been victimized.
