Firefighters rushed to the gated home in the 4800 block of Azucena Road and saw flames shooting out of windows and smoke pouring out of the roof.
Crews fought the flames for an hour and eventually knocked the blaze down at about 2 a.m. Sunday.
The entire second story is a loss and the first floor suffered major damage from water and smoke.
No one was hurt.
Neighbors said the owner was out of state and that he is a famous college athlete from Taft University.
