Cheese may not be so bad for heart health and probably should not be in the same category as butter, according to a new study.

The study, supported by the Danish Dairy Board and the National Dairy Research Institute, looked at 50 people who were put on a controlled diet and added a certain amount of cheese or butter daily.

Those who ate cheese had no increase in bad cholesterol or total cholesterol.

However, after eating butter, those same participants had about 7 percent more bad cholesterol.
