U.S. soccer star Hope Solo and her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy were eliminated from the hit ballroom dancing competition series on Tuesday, November 15. The pair received 21 out of 30 from the judges for their Paso Doble and 24 out of 30 for their Argentine Tango and 4 bonus points for their Cha Cha relay for a total of 49 points on the November 14 episode of "Dancing With The Stars."
"All My Children" actor and Iraq War veteran J.R. Martinez and his partner Karina Smirnoff were also in jeopardy. Martinez and Smirnoff received 23 out of 30 from the judges for their Paso Doble and 27 out of 30 for their Argentine Tango and 6 bonus points for their Cha Cha relay for a total of 56 points on the November 14 episode of "Dancing With The Stars."
The cast of Disney's "The Muppets" took over the "Dancing With The Stars" stage for a performance of "Life's a Happy Song," a track from their upcoming film "The Muppets." The film hits theaters on November 23. Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy and a new Muppet named Walter appeared on stage. They were joined by the rest of the Muppet gang, including Fozzie Bear, Animal, Gonzo the Great, Pepe the King Prawn, Swedish Chef, Rowlf the Dog, Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker.
Cobra Starship also hit the stage for a performance featuring Sabi of their hit single, "You Make Me Fee." The band was accompanied by pro dancers Kym Johnson, Tristan MacManus, Sharna Burgess and Sonny Pederson.
In the final "Macy's Stars of Dance" performance this season, pros Derek Hough and Anna Trebunskaya performed a Paso Doble to "Bad Romance." Fans voted on the performance song, style, costumes and pro dancers for the season's Macy's Design-a-Dance all season long.
The last "AT&T Spotlight Performance" of the season highlighted Kyle Scanlan, David Guzman, Jacob Guzman and Matt Gilmore from The Gold School in Brockton, Massachusetts. Their performance was accompanied by female pro dancers Chelsie Hightower, Lacey Schwimmer, Sharna Burgess and Peta Murgatroyd.
