Delta is alerting customers about phony emails that say their credit card has been charged for a flight.

The airline is advising customers to delete the emails and not click on any links or open any attachments in them, as they may contain viruses.

Customers have reported receiving emails that claim to be electronic ticket receipts for a roundtrip flight from New York to San Francisco with a departure date of Nov. 26.

Delta says no customer data has been compromised.
