Country and pop singer Jessie James is set to perform at the halftime show of Thursday's NFL game between the New York Jets and the Denver Broncos, her boyfriend Eric Decker's team.
James, who is 23 and was raised in Georgia, is known for the hit song "Wanted," her debut single that is featured on her self-titled first album, which reached No. 23 on the U.S. chart in 2009. It was first reported she and Decker were dating in September.
"SO PUMPED FOR TONIGHT HALF TIME SHOW!" James Tweeted on Thursday. "WOOHOOOOOO...WHO IS COMING OUT TO THE GAME TO SUPPORT OUR #BRONCOS!!!!"
"Who's the halftime entertainer? Some lady, a beautiful girl?" Decker, who is 24 and is one of the Broncos' wide receivers, joked to the Associated Press. "I'm excited. I wish I could sneak out, but don't tell Coach Fox. I've got somebody recording it for me. We were there yesterday for her last rehearsal, and it was fun seeing her out there. She took a little time off to write her record and now she's getting back into it."
James has toured with pop trio the Jonas Brothers, country and rock singer Kid Rock and comedian Carlos Mencia. She last released new music in 2010. She is currently working on her second album.
James is also seen by many as a sex symbol. In 2009, she posed for revealing photographs for Maxim magazine, which dubbed her "the smokingest thing to happen to country music since Willie Nelson rolled his first joint."
Several days ago, James posted on her Tumblr blog a photo of herself kissing Decker (pictured above), saying: "Love of my life ? you deserve it girls! Don't ever settle ? wish and pray for your prince ... and he will come for you."
The Broncos-Jets game takes place on Thursday, November 17, at Sports Authority Field in Denver, Colorado at 8:20 p.m. ET.
