Rihanna has been romantically linked to her "We Found Love" co-star Dudley O'Shaughnessy, but the pop singer revealed on "The Ellen DeGeneneres Show" that she is very much single and not happy about it.
"I'm not dating at all... I'm not necessarily happy being single. It's not really that cool," Rihanna told Ellen, in an episode set to air on November 21, Us Magazine reports. "It sucks, but it is what it is."
"My personal life is pretty much non-existent, which is not good, not for the long run. Not for me, not for [my vagina]. It's not fun," Rihanna joked. "That's why I stay on Twitter a lot, so I can [talk] with my fans... Because I don't get any booty calls."
Rihanna's 6th studio album, "Talk That Talk" is also set to be released on the interview's air date on November 21. The album is a follow-up to the singer's 2010 album "Loud." The music video for the album's lead single, "We Found Love" was unveiled in October.
"I don't want to make it seem like my work is my everything. I do put a lot into my job. Most of my time, if not all of it," she said. "But it definitely affects my personal life."
The 23-year-old has been romantically linked to O'Shaughnessy, baseball player Matt Kemp and Drake since her split from Chris Brown.
"I like men who are more aggressive but mysterious," Rihanna told DeGeneres. "I like them to be sure of themselves and know that they're the man. I'm the lady and the only way for us to make this work is for us to play our roles. You know, I can't really be the man for you. I don't want to have to be. I'm the man at work all the time."
In other news, the singer made Billboard Hot 100 history with her latest single "We Found Love." The single marks her 11th no. 1 hit on the chart, making her tied with Whitney Houston for a career total of no. 1 hits. According to MTV, she is just one single shy of reaching Madonna's career best of 12 no.1 hit singles. She still trails far behind the Beatles record of 20 and Mariah Carey's best of 18 hit singles.
