Ali Fedotowsky, star of the 2010 season of ABC dating series "The Bachelorette," and Roberto Martinez, the show's winner, have ended their relationship.
After their on-screen courtship, the two announced their engagement but did not set a date. In August, Fedotowsky said their wedding was postponed, citing a leg injury she had suffered weeks earlier.
"Ali Fedotowsky and Roberto Martinez have ended their relationship," her spokesperson told OnTheRedCarpet.com on Monday, November 21. "As they go through this difficult time, we ask that you respect the couple's privacy."
The two had moved to San Diego after filming the sixth season of "The Bachelorette." Fedotowsky, a local television news correspondent, and Martinez appeared together at the Reality Rocks Expo in Los Angeles in April and were all smiles as they talked to OnTheRedCarpet.com. When asked when they would tie the knot, Fedotowsky said: "Some time in this lifetime."
People magazine, which first carried the report of the split, quoted Fedotowsky as saying in October that she and Martinez "are still figuring out our lives as individuals."
It is unclear when the split occurred. Both have not commented about the matter publicly.
Fedotowsky said on her Twitter page on November 3 that she and Martinez attended the PlayStation Gran Turismo Awards in Las Vegas and posted a photo of the two together smiling, with her hand on his shoulder. She last mentioned him three days later, on November 6, saying: "I think @Roberto_M_Jr might have a heart attack while watching this football game. Lots of yelling at the TV & pacing around the room lol :)."
Fedotowsky also said that day that Martinez would not be accompanying her on a plane trip to New York, saying: "He has to work."
The news comes more than a month before the premiere of the 16th season of ABC's original dating reality series, "The Bachelor." It is set to air on Jan. 2, 2011 and and stars "Bachelorette" alum Ben Flajnik.
