Ricki Lake says she's "back and better than ever" as she prepares for the season finale of "Dancing with the Stars."
The 42-year-old actress and television host and three-time champion Derek Hough, 26, received 27 out of 30 from the judges for their Cha-Cha-Cha and 27 out of 30 for their Freestyle in week 10 of ABC's hit celebrity ballroom dancing series (read recap). The pair ended the night tied in second place out of the three remaining pairs.
"I was really, really wanting to blow the freestyle out of the park," Lake told OnTheRedCarpet.com after the performance. "And I feel like I did. I did tricks, I mean, if you count them, I think I did six lifts and tricks and he's just amazing - I'm really proud of myself. This is something I never thought I could do."
Lake also described her body's transformation that has occurred throughout the season.
"For someone who's been so self-conscious about my weight my whole life, it's a triumph for me, really," Lake added. "Whether I walk away with the mirror ball or not, I feel like I have done something really, really great in my life."
With the "Dancing with the Stars" season coming to an end, Lake says she has plenty to keep herself busy.
"There's a lot happening right now," Lake added. "I have a talk show that's been greenlit for next season, September 2012, and I've got my memoir coming out in May, and I'm getting married - so, life is really good, win or lose this thing, I've come really far. I'm so happy to have been introduced again to the audiences that grew up with me. Ricki's back, and better than ever."
Rob Kardashian, brother to "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" reality star Kim Kardashian, and his partner earned the top score of the evening with a combined 57 out of 60. J.R. Martinez and partner Karina Smirnoff were close behind with their score of 54 out of 60. The season 13 finale takes place on Tuesday, November 22 and one celebrity pair will win season 13 of "Dancing With The Stars."
"I'm really happy for Rob," Lake added. "He's at the top of the leader board for the first time - when it really counts, and he did great job. I'm really proud of him and J.R."
