Justin Bieber recently revealed during a friendly chat with talk show host David Letterman that he did in fact take a DNA test, as he had promised, to prove he is not the father of Mariah Yeater's baby.

The 20-year-old California woman recently dropped a paternity lawsuit against the 17-year-old pop singer, who she had claimed had a sexual encounter with her after one of his concerts in Los Angeles in the fall of 2010. Her son was born in July.

Bieber had said he had never even met Yeater and that he would prove it with a DNA test. It was reported earlier this week that arrangements were made for him to undergo the procedure.

"Yeah I took it," Bieber said on "The Late Show with David Letterman" in a recent episode, after the talk show host asked if he took a DNA test.

"They just swab your mouth," he said, demonstrating the procedure.

Letterman joked, "Is there disrobing?"

"No, I don't think so," Bieber replied.

The talk show host, who is known for poking fun at his guests, especially teenagers, said the reports about Yeater's claim made him "see red," adding: "I could smell a weasel."

"I could smell a weasel too, a little bit," Bieber said. "I'm 17. But I mean, it's going to happen, being in the spotlight. People can say whatever."

The Canadian singer, who has performed all over the world, is currently promoting his latest single, "Mistletoe," and his new Christmas-themed album, "Under The Mistletoe," which topped the U.S. chart earlier this month.
