OTRC: Anne Hathaway engaged to Adam Shulman

Anne Hathaway reportedly married fiance Adam Shulman on September 29, 2012, according to reports. The 29-year-old actress and 31-year-old Shulman tied the knot in a ceremony in Big Sur, California in front of 100 guests. Hathaway reportedly wore a custom wedding gown made by Valentino. This marks the first marriage for Hathaway, star of as 'The Devil Wears Prada' and 'The Dark Knight Rises.' The actress' spokesperson confirmed Hathaway's engagement in November 2011. The couple first stepped out publicly together in the fall of 2008. In November, Hathaway talked about her desire to have a baby with her new husband Shulman, but doesn't seem keen about the idea of raising a child in the public eye. The 30-year-old actress, who can be seen in the new musical film "Les Miserables," made her comments to The Hollywood Reporter, which recently hosted a roundtable discussion with her and fellow past Oscar nominees Naomi Watts and Amy Adams as well as winners Rachel Weisz, Helen Hunt, Sally Field and French star Marion Cotillard, ahead of the official Academy Award nominations announcement on Jan. 10, 2013. Anne Hathaway is set to marry Adam Shulman, her boyfriend of three years.

This will mark the first marriage for the 29-year-old actress, who plays Catwoman in the new Batman movie "The Dark Knight Rises" and who previously starred in films such as "The Devil Wears Prada."

Shulman, 30, is also an actor. He appeared on the show "American Dreams" in 2005 and in the 2007 television film "The Dukes of Hazzard: The Beginning."

The pair's engagement was confirmed by Hathaway's spokesperson on Monday, November 28. No further details were given. No wedding date has been announced.

Hathaway and Shulman, who are both from New York, first stepped out publicly together in the fall of 2008, soon after the actress ended her relationship with Italian real estate developer Raffaello Follieri.

He is currently in prison. In 2008, he was sentenced to more than four years behind bars for cheating investors out of millions of dollars by falsely claiming he had Vatican connections that enabled him to buy church property at a discount. Jewelry that Follieri gave the actress was auctioned off by U.S. marshals.

Hathaway told Harper's Bazaar magazine earlier this year that her relationship with Shulman is more "mellow," which "makes for a good life."
