Charlize Theron stepped out in a daring low-cut frock at the 21st Annual Gotham Independent Film Awards in New York City on November 28.
Theron attended the event dazzling in a black and white Gucci frock from the spring 2012 collection. The plunging neckline was complimented by gold jewelry, a black and gold clutch and a simple up-do.
The 36-year-old actress attended the awards show to accept a "special tribute" award honoring her career.
Theron wasn't the only celebrity turning heads at the event, with Alec Baldwin, Tilda Swinton and Gary Oldman also in attendance (See photos).
"The Tree of Life," starring Brad Pitt and Sean Penn, and "Beginners," starring Ewan McGregor and Christopher Plummer, shared the award for Best Feature.
Natalie Portman announced the unprecedented ruling in a prerecorded video, saying that her peers couldn't choose between the two so they decided to honor both, according to the Associated Press.
The event was hosted by Edie Falco and Oliver Platt. Other winners included Felicity Jones for Breakthrough Actor in "Like Crazy," the cast of "Beginners" for Ensemble Cast, and "Girlfriend" for Audience Award.
