Lindsay Lohan is not being coached in sobriety by Courtney Love, the actress' rep told OnTheRedCarpet.com.

"Courtney is not and has never been Lindsay's sobriety coach and I don't know where the story came from," Lohan's rep told OnTheRedCarpet.com on Friday.

Love claimed otherwise in an interview with Details for the magazine's December issue.

"I've taken up Lohan because nobody else will," the 47-year-old Hole singer told Details. "[She's] further down the line than I was, because there was no [gossip websites like] TMZ then."

Love has long struggled with drug addiction and told the magazine that she has been sober since 2005 and credits a 12-step program for her progress.

"I went up to Lindsay's room one time and there was a show on called '101 Celebrity Oops' and I am like every other one, you know - boobs out, legs everywhere, throwing [expletive] at Madonna, you know, whatever," Love told the magazine, according to the New York Daily News. "I'm like 'Lindsay, look! Drugs are bad!'"

Love made headlines recently for speaking about her estranged daughter, Frances Bean Cobain. Love lost custody of her daughter in 2009 and took to Twitter to accuse Frances of 'destroying' her.

In 2010 Love was sued by a management firm for $1 million after selling a portion of Cobain's band Nirvana's catalog for $20 million. Cobain commit suicide in Seattle on April 8, 1994 at the age of 27. Nirvana is known for hits such as "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and "Come As You Are."

Earlier this year, Lohan was ordered to complete 480 hours of community service ata woman's shelter and morgue after a judge ruled the actress violated her 2007 probation with a misdemeanor theft charge.

According to TMZ, Lohan is well ahead of schedule with her morgue obligation and has already completed 10 of her 12 court-ordered shifts. She also has a good reputation at the morgue, a source told the website she is, "polite, hard-working and never complains about the work."

The actress, a former child star known for films such as "The Parent Trap," "Freaky Friday" and "Mean Girls," is next scheduled to appear in court on December 14.

Lohan is set to grace the January/February cover of Playboy magazine.

"Lindsay has completed a successful photo shoot for Playboy magazine and will be on the cover of the January/February issue, which hits newsstands in late December," the actress' spokesperson told OnTheRedCarpet.com. "The pictorial is absolutely fantastic and very tasteful, and will be accompanied by an interview that will let readers see another side of Lindsay."
