Taylor Swift showed off a new look while walking the red carpet at Billboard's Women in Music event on Friday, December 2, where she was honored for her success in the music industry for the past year.
The singer, who is known for her wavy golden locks, showed off a straighter styled haircut complete with bangs. Swift Tweeted about the change on Thursday, posting a photo of herself with the simple caption "Got a haircut."

Swift was named Billboard's "Woman of the Year" in October. She has outsold any other artist in the past 12 months to earn the title. At 21, Swift is the youngest artist to receive the honor. Her third studio album "Speak Now," which was released in October 2010, has sold over five million copies worldwide, including one million in its debut week.
The singer has largely spent most of 2011 on tour for the album. She was snubbed from the 2011 Grammy Awards and did not receive a nomination. Swift does however, already have four Grammy Awards to her credit.
On Wednesday it was announced that Swift is up for three Grammy Awards for the 2012 ceremony. "I got three nominations. I was just so excited," she told the Associated Press on Friday.
Swift's "Speak Now" album was not nominated for Best Album did receive nominations for Best Country Album and nabbed two nods for her single "Mean."
"That song is so personal, and I'm so glad that the Grammys recognized it," she said about the song.
Nicki Minaj, was also honored at the event as Billboard's "Rising Star."
