It all started at 111th Street and Hawthorne Boulevard late Friday into Saturday morning. The pursuit moved into the city of El Segundo on the I-110 and I-105.
Officers said a driver they were following tried to exit the 105 Freeway at Hawthorne Boulevard, but missed the turn and hit a pole, causing the car to burst into flames.
Officers rescued the driver from the fiery wreckage before he or she was seriously injured. The driver's identity has not been released.
