Detectives said the shooting happened about 3:30 a.m. in the 11900 block of West Trail, near Kagel Canyon.
Investigators said a neighbor heard gunshots next door. When she checked on her neighbor, his front door was open and he was lying on the floor with multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives did not have a suspect description.
Neighbors said the victim was a young man in his 20s. They said they believe he was renting space inside the home.
