Lea Michele and her "New Year's Eve" co-star Ashton Kutcher might both star in hit primetime TV shows, but the pair agreed that "Two and a Half Men" is a better gig.
"I love it. It is the best job in show business," Kutcher said in an interview provided by Warner Bros. Pictures, adding of his co-star's role on "Glee," "Her series is not the best job in show business, 'cause mine is."
Michele, best known for her role as diva-like student Rachel Berry on the musical comedy series "Glee," portrays Jon Bon Jovi's backup singer in "New Year's Eve." Hijinks ensue when she gets stuck in an elevator with Kutcher's cynical character.
Michele, 25, and the 33-year-old actor, former star of MTV's "Punk'd" who replaced Charlie Sheen on the CBS sitcom "Two and a Half Men" earlier this year, appeared cozy at the recent Los Angeles premiere of the romantic comedy movie (see photos).
Kutcher clarified that Michele "has to work more" than he does, so he is winning in the schedule department. The cast of "Glee" has infamously rigorous schedules -- rehearsing, recording and touring for the hit series.
"No, he definitely wins," Michele agreed. "He definitely wins. His hours make him win for sure. Just the hours alone."
But the work that Michele puts into her role on "Glee" is obviously paying off and the actress admitted that she is having the time of her life.
"I am having an amazing time," Michele said. "I'm having the greatest time. Half the stuff I'm doing, I'm like, 'I can't believe I'm doing this.' I was shooting a musical number underwater yesterday and I was hating it, but at the same time, I was like, 'I'm never, ever going to do this ever again in my life.' And that's awesome!"
"New Year's Eve" boasts a star-packed cast that includes the likes of Jessica Biel, Halle Berry, Sarah Jessica Parker, Josh Duhamel, Alyssa Milano, Sofía Vergara, Seth Meyers and Robert De Niro.
"New Year's Eve" is directed by "Valentine's Day" director Garry Marshall and the scripts of both films were penned or co-written by Katherine Fugate. "New Year's Eve" also pairs up other well-known stars. Bon Jovi plays the ex-boyfriend of Katherine Heigl, while Zac Efron portrays the love interest of his former "Hairspray" co-star Michelle Michelle Pfeiffer.
"New Year's Eve" opened in theaters on December 9, 2011. Watch the trailer below.
