OTRC: Katy Perry does her best Pippa Middleton on 'Saturday Night Live' - What did you think?

Katy Perry appears as Pippa Middleton for the December 10, 2011 episode of 'Saturday Night Live.' (NBC)

Katy Perry's first time as host of "Saturday Night Live" gave the singer plenty of opportunities to deliver laughs as she parodied some of her colleagues, a royal relative, as well as herself.

During the night Perry did a brief impression of Christina Aguilera in a skit for a film called "Apocalypse," a spoof of celebrity-filled movies like "New Years Eve" and "Valentine's Day." She also played Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine who sings a track on a fake dog movie soundtrack that also included the likes of Fred Armisen as Randy Newman and Kristen Wiig as Gwen Stefani.

Perry even tried her hand as Pippa Middleton, the sister of Kate Middleton, formally known as the Duchess of Cambridge. In the skit, which can be seen below, Fred Armisen and Bill Hader reprise their impressions of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip they first debuted during Anne Hathaway's episode last year.

Armisen's Queen Elizabeth turns into a trash talking tyrant that throws Kate (played by Abby Elliot) for a shock every time Prince William (Andy Samberg) leaves the room. Hader's Phillip joins in on pressuring Kate to deliver an heir to the throne when Pippa walks in and stands up for her sister to the "old geezers."

"That's a queen? I thought Gandalf was in drag," Perry as Pippa quips.

Perry said in an interview with Access Hollywood that her husband, British comedian Russell Brand, gave her a lot of tips for the show since he hosted an episode last season.

"Of course my husband [has given me advice]," Perry said. "Every day I'm checking in with him and he's giving me the next day move on what I should do or what's gonna go on or how I should act."

Perry did have pervious experience for the skits when she appeared on the show as a musical guest in 2010 in an episode hosted by Amy Poehler. In that episode she made a tongue-in-cheek reference to the banning of a "Sesame Street" segment that featured her wearing a skimpy dress, trying to coax Elmo to play with her.

Perry is not the first singer to host the long-running sketch comedy series. Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake have hosted a few times. Queen Latifah and Ludacris have also hosted.

The week's musical guest was Robyn who performed "Dancing On My Own" and "Call Your Girlfriend." Next week, former cast member Jimmy Fallon returns to the "Saturday Night Live" stage to host the December 17 episode with musical guest Michael Buble.

Check out a few of Perry's skits below and tell us how you think she did in our poll.
