Suspicious Oxnard death ruled naturally caused

A man who was found dead in an Oxnard alley Friday morning was determined to have died from natural causes, Oxnard Police said Saturday.

Oxnard police officers were called to the 100 block of N. Oxnard Blvd. by a report of a deceased male at about 9:30 a.m. Friday.

Police detectives opened a suspicious-death investigation as a result.

An autopsy conducted by the Ventura County Medical Examiner's Office determined the man died of natural causes.

The deceased man's identity was not released pending notification of next of kin.
