Madonna's newest album will now be officially released in late March, Live Nation and Interscope Records announced on Thursday, December 15.
The singer, who teamed up with Live Nation in 2007 with a 10-year multi-faceted contract valued at $120 million, has signed a three album deal with Interscope Records. Her 2012 album will be her first in five years with "Gimme All Your Luvin" set to be the first single.
The single will be released in the last week in January before her performance at the Super Bowl XLVI Halftime show on February 5. Madonna will collaborate with a team from Cirque du Soleil, choreographer Jamie King, and artists from Moment Factory for the show.
Madonna's multi-faceted deal with Live Nation includes new studio albums, touring, merchandising, fan club/website, DVD's, music-related television and film projects and associated sponsorship agreements. She signed with Live Nation after leaving the Maverick label she started with Time Warner. The singer's last record for her former label and last album of original recordings was 2008's "Hard Candy."
Guy Oseary, Madonna's manager commented about the deal saying, "We couldn't be happier to work with Jimmy Iovine, Lucian Grainge (Chairman & CEO, Universal Music Group) and the entire Interscope team."
