Kyle Richards, who stars in "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," gave an update to fans recently about her sister Kim, who is reportedly in rehab for undisclosed reasons.
"She's doing very well, thank you," Richards said to reporters recently, according to E! News. "That's all I'm going to say. She's doing fantastic."
It was initially reported that Kim Richards entered an undisclosed treatment center on December 5. It is unclear what the 47-year-old reality star is being treated for, her drinking problems led to a dramatic point in the show's finale last season when her sister Kyle confronted her about the problem in a limousine.
In an October episode of the show's second season, new cast member Brandi Glanville -- who is Eddie Cibrian's ex-wife, accused Richards of being "wasted" during the group's game night. Glanville and Richards had a shouting match over the accusation.
Richards is a former child actress who starred in "Nanny and the Professor" and "Escape to Witch Mountain." She is the younger sister of Kathy Hilton who is Paris Hilton's mother.
Her "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" co-star Adrienne Maloof reportedly told Us Weekly that Richard's move to go to rehab was "a step in the right direction."
The second season of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" made headlines shortly before its premiere in September when Russell Armstrong, husband of cast member Taylor Armstrong, committed suicide in August.
Russell Armstrong was found hanging in a bedroom in a Hollywood Hills home where he had been staying after separating from his wife, who filed for divorce in mid-July.
Armstrong was laid to rest at Forest Lawn cemetery in the Hollywood Hills on August 25, nine days after his body was found.
Taylor Armstrong, 40, had in her divorce filing cited irreconcilable differences and seeking legal and primary physical custody of their 5-year-old daughter, Kennedy. She also claimed that her husband had abused her physically and verbally. At the time, he did not comment on her accusations.
He and Taylor Armstrong married in 2005 and are said to have separated about two months ago. Their troubled relationship was documented on the first season of "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills," which aired in 2010.
