Gusts reached up to 70 mph overnight in some areas. A high-wind warning was in effect across most of Southern California, including the coastal areas, valleys and mountains, through 1 p.m. Friday.
According to SCE, 1,434 customers lost power in Corona early Friday morning due to equipment problems. Twelve customers in Lake Forest and 75 in unincorporated Los Angeles County also temporarily lost electricity.
The winds caused problems for drivers of high-profile vehicles on Thursday. Two tractor-trailers were knocked over, but there were no major injuries.
