6.6-magnitude earthquake strikes Siberia

Miners in southwestern Siberia are being told to leave their mine shafts after a strong earthquake shook the region Tuesday.

No injuries or damage were reported from the quake, which had a preliminary magnitude of 6.6.

The epicenter was about 60 miles east of Kyzyl.

Many people who live in multistory buildings there are spending the night in schools fearing potential aftershocks.
