Sheriff's officials said William Woodin, 39, likely escaped through a broken window.
Woodin was serving time for a probation violation after arrests for petty theft, burglary and drug possession. He is considered a nonviolent offender.
He was described as a white male, about 6 feet tall, 200 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a dark, short-sleeved smock, dark green pants and black boots.
