12 baby pandas adjust to new home in China

CHENGDU, China

The pandas, who recently left their mother at the Cheng Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, are sharing a new enclosure, and the display of cuteness is drawing huge crowds.

Visitors got to see the pandas' playful side - some of them attempted to climb rocks, while others munched away at their staple food: bamboo.

A total of 21 giant pandas were successfully bred in China in 2011, bringing the number of captive giant pandas bred in the country to 333.
