Parolee charged for Huntington Beach murder

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif.

Huntington Beach police officers responded to a report of a dead body in an RV on the 8300 block of Danbury Circle at 12:10 p.m. Sunday. The body was identified as Dolores "Arias" Fagan, who was staying with relatives down the street.

Ean Keith Brown, 38, had recently been released from state prison and was on parole for burglary. Authorities say he had been living in the RV where the body was found.

Police believe Brown strangled Fagan in his RV sometime between Friday and Sunday and wrapped her body in a blanket. A motive has not yet been determined.

Brown's parents became suspicious and called police, who then found the body. Brown was spotted driving northbound on the 15 Freeway at about 4 p.m. After a high-speed pursuit, he was arrested near the Nevada border.

Brown has been charged with felony murder and faces sentencing enhancements because of two prior strike convictions. If convicted, he faces 85 years to life in prison.

Bail is expected to be set at $1 million when Brown is arraigned on Tuesday.
