'One Life to Live' characters checking into 'General Hospital'

LOS ANGELES

The announcement was made through a statement released on Wednesday by "General Hospital" executive producer Frank Valentini.

Kassie DePaiva, Roger Howarth, Michael Easton and Kristen Alderson will move their "One Life to Live" characters to "General Hospital."

DePaiva, Howarth, Easton and Alderson play Blair Cramer, Todd Manning, John McBain and Starr Manning, respectively.

In Wednesday's statement, Valentini said viewers will see a very exciting story develop in Port Charles following the arrival of the four characters.

"Incorporating characters from 'One Life to Live' continue the legacy of the show as we weave them into 'General Hospital,'" Valentini said in the release.

DePaiva joined the "One Life to Live" cast in 1993 and also had a role as character Chelsea Reardon on the daytime drama "Guiding Light."

Howarth's role as Todd Manning originated as a day-player but became a long-term character in 2011.

Easton joined "One Life to Live" in 2003 and Alderson in 1998.

"General Hospital" airs 3 p.m. ET, 2 p.m. PT on ABC7.
