Ex-intern convicted of taping men in restroom

SANTA ANA, Calif.

Santa Ana resident Miguel Fabian, 24, pleaded guilty Thursday to eight misdemeanor counts of disorderly conduct by unlawful viewing. He was sentenced to six months in jail and three years' probation.

Fabian is accused of creating 64 videotapes of men using restrooms at Santa Ana City Hall between December 2010 and May 2011 using his cellphone camera while he was an intern for the city. At the time he was an engineering student at California State Polytechnic University.

One victim noticed the Ruiz's cellphone on the restroom floor, grabbed it and called police.

Most of the victims were City Hall employees.
