"Modern Family" star Sofia Vergara is gearing up to debut another ad for Diet Pepsi and the actress says she started in the entertainment business because of the soft drink company.
"I started in this business because of a Pepsi commercial when I was 17 years old," Vergara said in a behind the scenes clip, which can be seen below. "So for me, 22 years later, to be working for Pepsi -- it's amazing. I would have never thought my life was going to change so much and bring me to find Pepsi again."
This will be the second ad the actress does for Diet Pepsi. Last year, she co-starred with David Beckham in a television spot. The new ad will debut during the 69th annual Golden Globes on January 15.
Vergara is up for a Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television. She is up against Kelly MacDonald of "Boardwalk Empire," Maggie Smith of "Downton Abbey Masterpiece," Evan Rachel Wood of "Mildred Pierce," and Jessica Lange of "American Horror Story." The commercial was directed by McG, who helmed the "Charlie's Angels" films and "Terminator Salvation." It was choreographed by "Dancing With The Stars" pro Mark Ballas and his father Corky makes an appearance. The song featured in the spot is a cover of "Whatever Lola Wants" sung by Rod Stewart's daughter Ruby Stewart.
"It's a lot of dancing and music a lot of, you know, playing around a night club in Miami," Vergara said of the new ad. "I think it's going to be a surprise for everybody."
Vergara, who plays Ed O'Neill's bombshell Colombian wife on the ABC comedy series "Modern Family," recently proved she didn't really need to stick to her resolution, showing off her bikini body on Twitter while vacationing with her boyfriend Nick Loeb in Los Cabos, Mexico.
