Nearly 3,500 runners took to the streets early Sunday morning for the annual Los Angeles Half Marathon.

Some parking issues delayed the start of the race by about 15 minutes.

Runners started in Venice, and then made their way through Marina del Rey, before crossing the finish line at Lagoon Park in Playa del Rey.

Some roads reopened shortly after the runners passed, but others were expected to remain closed until as late as 1 p.m.
