Seal Beach shooting victim kin getting bulk of donations

The bulk of the money raised for victims of the Seal Beach massacre will go to the families of those who died.

The bulk of the money raised for victims of the Seal Beach massacre will go to the families of those who died.

More than $400,000 was raised. Slightly more than 80 percent will go to relatives of the shooting victims and the son of the accused gunman.

The rest of the money is being given to survivors in the salon, salon employees and direct witnesses.

Eight people were killed on Oct. 12 at Salon Meritage - the worst mass killing in Orange County history. Scott Dekraai has been charged in the crime.
