OTRC: Elizabeth Banks wears black and gold mini-dress at 'Man on a Ledge' premiere - like her look? (Poll)

Elizabeth Banks wowed in an edgy mini-dress at the New York screening for her new movie "Man on a Ledge" on January 19.

Banks, 37, attended the red carpet event shortly following her "Late Night With David Letterman" appearance, and didn't disappoint. Banks showed up in a one-shoulder, black Versace mini-dress from the Spring 2012 collection. The dress features gold and black embellishments and appears gladiator-inspired. She finished the look with black tights, sultry makeup and a flirty, short hairstyle.

Banks is taking part in the 2012 film "The Hunger Games," alongside the likes of Woody Harrelson, Stanley Tucci, Jennifer Lawrence, Donald Sutherland and Liam Hemsworth.

The film is based on a novel by Suzanne Collins and is set for release on March 23, 2012. The "Hunger Games" are part of an annual televised event put on by the government, in which a boy and girl from each district face off against other pairs in a days-long fight to the death. Lawrence plays heroine Katniss Everdeen. Banks plays Effie Trinket, the eccentric, pink-haired escort of Everdeen's district.

Others who star in the movie include Jack Quaid, the son of actors Dennis Quaid and Meg Ryan, Leven Rambin, Dayo Okeniyi and Amandla Stenberg.

Banks is known for her parts in films such as "Zack and Miri Make a Porno" and "The 40-Year-Old Virgin" and also had a recurring role on the NBC comedy series "30 Rock." She and husband Max Handelman recently welcomed a son, Felix, who was born to a gestational surrogate mother. Banks said she had battled fertility problems.

More recently, it's been announced that Banks will take part in Disney's highly-anticipated film, "Tink." The movie is still in development, and isn't slated for release until 2013.
