Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler broke their Twitter silence about their big baby news on January 23 and both revealed they're "excited" about expecting their first child together.
"Thanks for all the sweet messages! We are so excited for this little bun in the oven," Cavallari wrote to her 741,000 Twitter followers on January 23.
However, 28-year-old Cutler, who is a quarterback for the Chicago Bears, seemed to have received some negative messages about the couple's big news.
"Thanks for all the tweets. We couldn't be more excited. We don't usually comment on our relationship but for the record I never broke up with Kristin," he wrote. "Its unfortunate some people are saying hurtful things during such a joyous moment in our life."
Cavallari, 25, is best known for starring in reality shows like "Laguna Beach," "The Hills" and "Dancing With The Stars." Cutler, 28, is a quarterback for the Chicago Bears.
The couple has been dating on-and-off since the fall of 2010. Cutler proposed to Cavallari during a trip to Cabo San Lucas in April 2011.
In September, the pair reunited and Cutler was spotted in the "DWTS" audience, cheering on Cavallari during her stint on the reality dancing competition. She was voted off of the series in the third week, much to the surprise of her fellow contestants.
Cavallari then said in November that she and Cutler were engaged once again.
"This time its official," Cavallari wrote on Twitter. "Jay and I are engaged again :)."
