Armie Hammer is just the latest celebrity discovered to get arrested in Texas.
The "J. Edgar" and "The Social Network" actor was arrested on November 30 at a border patrol checkpoint in West Texas after a drug sniffing dog discovered marijuana in his car, the Associated Press reported on January 25.
According to the arrest report, Hammer had 0.02 ounces of marijuana, three medicinal marijuana cookies and one brownie when arrested in Sierra Blanca, a few miles from the Mexican border.
The 25-year-old spent a day behind bars before paying a $1,000 bond. The local district attorney declined to prosecute because a felony requires more than 4 ounces of actual marijuana. The county can still pursue lesser charges but Hammer's lawyer told the wire service no charges have been presented.
Earlier this month, rapper Snoop Dogg was arrested on a minor drug charge at the same check point where Hammer was arrested after a border agent found several joints on his tour bus.
The 40-year-old rapper, whose name is Calvin Broadus was arrested and cited for possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor typical in cases involving small amounts of marijuana.
The checkpoint is also the same one where Willie Nelson was arrested on November 26, 2010, after six ounces of marijuana was found aboard his tour bus. The singer was arrested along with three others and held briefly for a $2,500 bond before being released.
Hammer is set to play the prince in Brett Ratner's "Snow White" film, which stars Julia Roberts as the evil queen. The actor is also working on Disney's reboot of "The Lone Ranger" alongside Johnny Depp. The film is set for release in 2013.
