McDonald's in Loma Linda? Some not 'lovin' it'

LOMA LINDA, Calif.

The city in San Bernardino County was founded in the 19th century by Seventh-day Adventists and most still shun tobacco, alcohol and meat.

The McDonald's would be just the sixth fast-food restaurant allowed in town.

A group of residents, health care professionals and educators is now working to officially declare Loma Linda a healthy community to keep it from being overrun by fast-food operations.
