Amber Portwood, who starred on the MTV reality series "Teen Mom," made a plea deal following her drug arrest last month.

The reality star was charged with violating her probation after being found with prescription drugs. She pled guilty to possession of a controlled substance and a probation violation, according to TMZ.

Portwood must complete a rehabilitation program in order for her charges to be dismissed. If she does not complete the program, she could face up to five years in jail.

Portwood is scheduled to return to court on February 6, when a judge will rule on her proposed plea deal.

The MTV reality star is on probation for assaulting her ex-fianc? Gary Shirley, the father of her 2-year-old daughter Leah. Portwood was recently hospitalized in Indiana after an apparent suicide attempt.

The 21-year-old was admitted to a medical center on June 14, after threatening to kill herself and after reportedly fighting with Shirley over the phone.

Portwood was sentenced to probation after pleading guilty to two felony domestic battery charges in June. She was accused of assaulting Shirley in front of their daughter in 2009 and was seen hitting him on a September 2010 episode of "Teen Mom." Portwood no longer has custody of the couple's child.

Meanwhile, Jenelle Evans of the spinoff "Teen Mom 2" was recently arrested twice in one week for violating a domestic violence protection order issued to her former roommate.

"Teen Mom" was renewed for a fourth season, set to air in spring 2012.
