Kyra Sedgwick has got some new ink.
At the Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday, January 29, the 46-year-old showcased a curious tattoo - a combination of letters - on her ribcage, which was exposed due to her cutout red Emilio Pucci gown, as she and actor husband Kevin Bacon posed for photos.
Sedgwick told E! News that the design is "a family tattoo," made up of the initials of her first name and those of her family members, including Bacon, their 22-year-old son Travis and their 19-year-old daughter, Sosie.
The actress also has a flower design tattoo that runs across her lower back.
Sedgwick was nominated for a SAG Award for her starring role as Brenda Leigh Johnson in the TNT crime drama "The Closer" but lost to Jessica Lange of the new FX show "American Horror Story." Sedgwick has won one Emmy and has been nominated for a SAG Award six times prior to this year for her part on "The Closer," which is set to end around the summer after seven seasons.
It was announced in late 2010 that Sedgwick had decided to leave the show, effectively bringing the series to an end.
"I feel like I'm more than satisfied," Sedgwick told OnTheRedCarpet.com in August 2011. "I mean, I think critically and also just by our loyal audience, week after week, I think that we really have been a successful show. Creatively, it's certainly been hugely satisfying for me."
