Rapper Machine Gun Kelly was arrested in Florida on the morning of Sunday, January 29 on charges of misdemeanor disorderly conduct.

According to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office website, Machine Gun Kelly, whose real name is Richard Colson Baker, was arrested by St. Petersburg police around 3:00 a.m. local time and released on a $100 bond at 8:11 a.m. Florida officials had no immediate comment regarding the arrest, but the rapper's arrest report lists "brawling" in the offense description.

Following his release, the 21-year-old Cleveland-based rapper Tweeted, "Just spent my entire night in a [expletive] Florida jail...[expletive] escaladed way to quick last night, it always does with us though."

"Thanking God that only half of us went to jail, that @216XPLOSIVE is outta the hospital, and that we get to go back to Cleveland today," Baker continued.

"The weirdest part of it was how many inmates in there knew who I was and knew about the movement. It was some trippy [expletive]," the rapper wrote, adding, "Anyways, thank you Florida for ragin this week. Lookin forward to seeing every state during this spring/summer tour (no more handcuffs tho!)"

Baker is currently on tour and had performed at the State Theatre in St. Petersburg prior to his arrest. Machine Gun Kelly is scheduled to play next at the Key Club in West Hollywood, Calif. on February 8.

Machine Gun Kelly was previously arrested for disorderly conduct in August during a flash mob he had organized at the Westfield SouthPark mall in Strongsville, Ohio.

Hundreds of people gathered at the Westfield SouthPark mall in Strongsville, Ohio on Saturday afternoon after the rapper told his some 74,000 followers on Twitter to wear "a funny disguise" and appear at the food court.

Security officers struggled to get the cheering and screaming crowd under control during the flash mob and the rapper and two colleagues were arrested and cited after they refused to get down from tables. They were detained and released hours later.

Machine Gun Kelly is known for his mixtapes, such as "Lace Up," which was released in 2010 and whose title has become one of his catchphrases. He signed with Diddy's Bad Boy Records several weeks ago.

Machine Gun Kelly rose to fame in 2009 after he became the first MC to win Amateur Night at the famed Apollo Theatre in New York City. The late Michael Jackson's music career took off after he and the rest of the Jackson Five won the same contest in 1967.

Machine Gun Kelly told the website YoRaps.com in 2010, when his mixtape "Lace Up" was released, that his rapper name is derived from his "rapid-fire delivery on the track," while "Kelly" is named after the late gangster Machine Gun Kelly, who was infamous during the prohibition era and served time in Alcatraz prison before his 1954 death.
