Amanda Seyfried might be playing a porn star in her newest role, but the actress claims she's "terrified" of promiscuity and would rather have kids with her ex-boyfriend Dominic Cooper.
"He was my last real boyfriend," Seyfried told Glamour magazine of her "Mamma Mia" co-star. "We still joke about having kids, like, 'If it doesn't work out with other people, we might as well just have a child.' And there's a part of that that feels... possible."
The "In Time" actress appears on Glamour's March 2012 cover and opened up in the cover story about dating, her hunky co-stars and nudity in films.
"I'm terrified of being promiscuous," Seyfried told the magazine. "I don't like the feeling you get when it's not something that you truly want to do, and I hate the emotional abuse you give yourself afterward. It's just uncomfortable when you're with somebody and you're like, 'I don't really know if I'm even comfortable with this. Why did I? Eww!' I think dating can come without sex."
"I think about kids all the time," the 26-year-old actress continued. "I feel like the next person I commit to, that's going to be the guy who I'm going to have kids with. That's in my crazy female brain. So that's why I'm like, 'I can't commit.'"
Seyfried is currently filming "Lovelace," where she stars as "Deep Throat" actress Linda Lovelace opposite James Franco, who'll play Hugh Hefner, and Sarah Jessica Parker, who took over the role of Gloria Steinam from Demi Moore. The film also stars Wes Bentley, Sharon Stone, Hank Azaria, Peter Sarsgaard and Chloe Sevigny.
Seyfried watched the pornographic movie and told Glamour, "What surprised me is the amount of pubic hair! I'm pretty sure I would never do a full frontal in a movie -- for personal reasons, I wouldn't really want to show that."
The actress was most recently romantically linked to Ryan Phillippe, but the pair split after four months of dating and never publicly spoke of the relationship.Seyfried began her on-screen career around 2000, starring in the soap operas "As the World Turns" and "All My Children." Her breakout role came in the form of Karen, a ditzy high school clique member with a heart of gold, in the teen comedy movie "Mean Girls," which starred Lindsay Lohan.
Seyfried later went on to star in television shows such as "Veronica Mars" and "Big Love" and appeared in the movies "Mamma Mia!" and "Letters to Juliet." She recently appeared in the thriller retelling of the Brothers Grimm, "Red Riding Hood," and the science fiction flick "In Time."
Of her "In Time" co-star Justin Timberlake, Seyfried said, "I think any female that meets him at first is like, 'I want to date you.' He seems so perfect, but you get to know him, and he's a good pal. He'll tell you what he really feels. But, you know, he's really famous, which has its downsides."
