Kodak wants out of 20-yr. theatre naming agreement

LOS ANGELES

Following recent bankruptcy trouble, court papers revealed Wednesday the Eastman Kodak Company has asked to be let out of its 20 year naming agreement.

A Kodak spokesperson said Wednesday's court motion reflects its commitment "to ensure that we are maximizing value for our entertainment customers, creditors and other stake holders."

The court proceeding means the theatre can look for a new sponsor, which would mean getting a new name.

A hearing date was set for Feb. 15 in New York.
