Rancho Cucamonga businesses hit by smash-and-grab thieves

RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif.

At about 1:30 a.m., deputies responded to an alarm call at the Foothill Village shopping center in the 9300 block of Foothill Boulevard. They discovered that several businesses had been broken into and ransacked.

Less than 30 minutes later, another alarm call was received at a business a few miles away in the 7100 block of Archibald Avenue.

A third alarm call alerted deputies to the McAlan's Pub and Grill in the 6300 block of Haven Avenue. The restaurant's side window had been smashed in, and right next door, the Aloha Kona Hawaiian BBQ Restaurant had also had its glass door smashed.

Business owners say they are hopeful surveillance video will help track down the suspects. Police say they will not be releasing the video to the public at this time because they are using it in their investigation.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Rancho Cucamonga Police Department at (909) 477-2800.
