Channing Tatum stars in the upcoming romantic drama "The Vow," but the actor also knows a thing or two about creating romance off-screen, with his wife Jenna Dewan.
"I see caring for somebody as a creative outlet," Channing told People magazine. "I like drawing little faces and writing little stories and hiding them in places."
Channing's love notes certainly show Dewan that he cares, but they are not without some element of boyish humor.
"I'm a practical joker. My favorite one is putting one under the toilet seat," Tatum continued. "She always wakes up before I do, so I enjoy the surprise of 'Haha! I got you!'"
Tatum and Dewan met on the set of the 2006 dance flick, "Step Up." The couple got engaged in September 2008 and were married on July 11, 2009 in Malibu, California.
The 31-year-old actor is set to host "Saturday Night Live" on February 4, with musical guest Bon Iver.
Tatum will next appear opposite Rachel McAdams in "The Vow," where he will portray a husband who has to convince his wife to fall in love with him after she loses her memory in an accident.
Tatum is also set to star opposite Jonah Hill in "21 Jump Street," which is slated for release on March 16, 2012.
"21 Jump Street" follows an undercover police unit that are taxed with infiltrating a local high school. Tatum and Hill get into plenty of shenanigans trying to pass as teenagers and from the looks of the trailer, the filmmakers took advantage of the comedic potential of the situation.
The film is based on a police procedural crime drama that aired from 1987 to 1991 and is often credited with launching Johnny Depp's career.
Depp is set to make a cameo in the new film, OnTheRedCarpet.com confirmed in April.
Tatum is best known for his roles in "Haywire," "Coach Carter," "Fighting," "Public Enemies," "G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra" and "Dear John." He began his career as a fashion model, appearing in campaigns for Abercrombie & Fitch, Nautica, Dolce & Gabbana, American Eagle Outfitters, and Emporio Armani.
