$1,000 reward offered in OC hit-run that killed 3-year-old girl

ANAHEIM, Calif.

California Highway Patrol officers handed out flyers at local businesses and shopping centers on Monday to let people know about the reward.

Miranda Palacios was killed last Wednesday as she crossed the street with her mother, 26-year-old Augi Hernandez, at Guinida Lane and Gilbert Street. Hernandez suffered serious injuries, including a broken back.

The 1995 Nissan Maxima involved in the crash had been reported stolen right before the crash. It was found abandoned nearby, but the driver got away.

Anyone with information was asked to contact the California Highway Patrol at (800) TELL-CHP. Anonymous tips can also be called in to Orange County Crime Stoppers at (855) TIP-OCCS.
